Drunk blowfish guts a pinata ---> Pinata spills out mound of lethal weapons ---> Skeleton obtains gun from pile ---> Skeleton shoots gun --> Bullet grows arms and legs ---> Pulls out a knife ---> Stabs unsuspecting astronaut and runs away ---> Pan over to smiling moon that just narrowly avoided a "Trip to the Moon" reference ---> Moon with chinese astronaut is positively beaming ---> Moonlight reveals nearby astronauts to be werewolves ---> Werewolves shoot more customers.

This all happens in 30 seconds.

Never have I seen cartoon antics this wacky. I really hope this becomes a series!

I love your aesthetic. Would LOVE to see something longer and more complex from you, like a 2-3 minute short.

Up there with the Pukebomb classics! It's clear the style heavily evokes another popular artist but I'm sure Walt Disney wouldn't mind.

We only steal from the best

Mario... stay back! I don’t want to do this, Mario...

Those two finger flicks in the beginning are so satisfying, and the teeth are genuinely horrific, but reading about your CPU randomly dying and deleting all your work is genuinely the most terrifying aspect of this short. Gives me that "there's a monster in your closet waiting to strike" paranoia. Thanks for the horror stories.

There is nothing better than this. Pack it in, humanity. We've won.

PukeBomb responds:

The little man in your mouth is a big fan of Manwich, no surprise there

TL;DR: Very well directed. Very very well animated. Good cartoon. I like.

The writing and dialogue is often bland as a rice cake, but there's so many fun compositions and styles playing around that are impossible to detract. A lot of them clash with each other (e.g. the sudden change from "arid desert" to "vaporwave land" was strange), but I don't think that goes against what this cartoon's bottom line is supposed to be, which is that the Rule-of-Cool reigns supreme.

All the designs are very appealing and easy to read, there's almost never any wasted space in the compositions, the soundtrack rocks, the hybrid of animation styles mesh very well, the hand drawn effect animations are gorgeous, the pallet swap during the vaporwave scene works great, ben-day dot textures adding a little extra visual flair to the 3d models, the chromatic aberration intensifying certain shots and actions to feel more 'unhinged' is super clever, there's too much cool stuff to pick apart!!!

All of the visuals are stellar and BURSTING with creativity, but give the writing a little more love and this would be a near masterpiece. Job well done!

I love this to death

This turned out incredible! There's too many cool animations to pick favorites from, so I won't, but I never would've expected this would also feature an entire freaking reanimated collab! Definitely deserves the word "epic".

Thank you, @Sevi, for organizing all this, and having us be part of this project.

A sincere thank you from myself, especially. This collab was the ultimate motivator to help me be free of the endless self-doubt, and take that impossible first step by freaking animating something. Now that the band-aid is off, I know animation is something I wanna do a whole lot more of. Granted, I know barely anything, but literally anything is an upgrade from zero, and that's enough to be proud of.

An eternal thank you for providing this outlet of inspiration and motivation!

Sevi responds:

I thought you've been doing it for a while, but knowing it's your first step is even more impressive! Looking forward to more animations from you

With more knowledge and experience, you're animation skills have the potential to grow pretty quickly.

There's a lot to learn from this. For one, I'm impressed you had the conviction to draw mostly on 1s (1s means literally every frame) for most of the shots, but for what it's worth it's incredibly inefficient. Your basically doing triple the work for the price of nothing. Might as well be throwing wet wood in a fire, it'll burn eventually, but it'll make mostly just smoke and steam.

Definitely study animating on 1s, 2s and 3s. Also study straight-ahead vs pose-to-pose. Once you learn and practice your fundamentals I think you'll make something pretty awesome with it.

I can see the passion put in this. Keep that up and you'll do great.

K1NG-BL4D3 responds:

I'm beginning to work in 2's and 3's and broadening my abilities in animation. thank you for the advice, my current ones are already better than the ones before, I've got a YouTube channel if you wanna see more of that potential grow

I've abolished sleep. You're welcome.
